Record made in heart transplant of two minor girls in KSA
RIYADH ( Web Desk ) – A new development has emerged in the medical science in Saudi Arabia when a surgery team at the King Faisal Hospital and Research Center performed the heart transplant of two minor girls in a record time.
One of the girls was eight months whose transplantation was done in less than 24 hours and she was provided artificial oxygen for several months. For this purpose ,the heart of a nineteen years old girl was utilized who died in Makkah.
Both operations were performed under the guidance of medical experts and a highly professional environment and modern medical infrastructure was used.
This was a record in terms of transplantation of a patient depending on the age and health conditions of the both recently operated girls improved with both feeling better after the surgery.
