Sana Mir criticized PCB on social media regarding domestic schedule for women’s cricket
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a response to the statement made by former captain Sana Mir.
The PCB has rejected Sana Mir’s claim of a scheduling conflict, stating that the former captain’s remarks are contrary to facts and that she should have verified the facts before commenting on national cricket.
The board clarified that the Women’s One-Day Tournament marks the start of the new domestic season. The Women’s One-Day World Cup will conclude on November 2, while the National Women’s One-Day Tournament is scheduled to begin on November 10 in Karachi, with no overlap in dates between the World Cup and the national tournament.
The PCB further stated that the women’s team will be engaged in various schedules from July to November. The PCB has organized two training camps, one home series, and one away series as part of preparations for the World Cup. Additionally, a 25-day training camp and practice matches have been scheduled for the women’s team in Karachi.
The board added that after returning from Ireland, a series against South Africa is planned. Former captain Sana Mir had criticized the PCB on social media regarding the domestic schedule for women’s cricket.
