News regarding closure of education institutions till Sep 30 is 'fake'
LAHORE (Web Desk) – News regarding closure of educational institutions till September 30 has been spread on social media but this news has been declared fake.
In a tweet, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said, “This social media news regarding closure of education institutions from 6 to 30 Sep across the country is fake. No such decision made at NCOC. Please avoid rumors.”

It is pertinent to mention here that schools, colleges and universities were closed till September due to the deteriorating situation of COVID-19 across the country.
After schools, colleges and universities were also closed on the instructions of the NCOC and the government.
Due to rapid increase of the cases, the Higher Education Department (HED) has issued a notification to close colleges in 15 districts including Lahore.
According to the notification, all public and private sector colleges and universities in 15 districts will remain closed till September 12. Holidays will not affect ninth grade exams. However, 9th grade exams will be held as per schedule.
