LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) warned the citizens to beware of the links of fake prizes, lottery scams and competition wins’ on social networking platforms.
As per details garnered, the FIA s cyber crime wing has warned the citizens to be careful in clicking on the links coming on social media or WhatsApp.
In a tweet, the FIA cybercrime wing said that if the citizens received circulating links regarding Independence Day or August 14, they should be careful even if they have been offered a reward.

Regarding this matter, the FIA urged the citizens to lodge complaints at the agency s helpline 1991.
A few weeks ago, there were reports in the Pakistani media that complaints about online hacking had increased across the country as well as the activists on social media platforms were also involved in online fraud.
It was also observed that with scammers using popular platforms to pedal these empty wins. Users received links on the WhatsApp that reported winning prizes but did not receive any prizes after clicking the link.
