(Web Desk) – A fake report about shutting down the schools on Feb 2 in UAE amid coronovirus epidemic is doing the rounds on internet.

According to Khaleej Times, the headline of the fake news article has been morphed to a genuine one headlined: ‘In pictures: UAE residents take precautions against coronavirus‘ published on January 30. The fake headline has a misplaced comma and a full-stop at the end of it - both of which are unforgivable errors, as per Khaleej Times standards.

The genuine KT article talked about how the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention reassured residents that there was nothing to panic about as the virus situation was under control. A four-member Chinese family infected is the only confirmed case in the UAE so far, according to the ministry.

As Khaleej Times reported on Thursday, some UAE schools are raising awareness against the coronavirus as a precaution, though they are stressing that parents should not panic as schools are "completely safe".

The World Health Organisation declared a global emergency over the new coronavirus, as China reported on Friday the death toll had climbed to 213 with nearly 10,000 infections.
