Flag hoisting ceremony on Pakistan day in Paris

A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan Paris on Saturday to commemorate the Pakistan Day.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani diaspora, members of diplomatic corps, media representatives and officials of the Embassy.

Civil awards conferred in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan on Pakistan Day

The investiture ceremonies were held in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan provinces to honour individuals from various fields including education, health, sports, and arts with civil awards on the eve of the National Day.

In Punjab, Governor Balighur Rehmand conferred Sitar-i-Imtiaz on Dr Nadeem Javed in recognition of his services for CPEC, rehabilitation of victims after 2022 floods and reforms in planning commission.

Dr Kanwal Amin, a renowned personality from education sector, actress Sajal Aly and Jugan Kazim were honoured with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

Pakistan Day celebrations across world

Not only in Pakistan, but ceremonies were held in major capitals across the world to mark the 84th Pakistan Day with national spirit and renewed zeal.

The day has its roots in the passing of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940, when the All-India Muslim League demanded a separate homeland for the Muslims of the British Indian Empire.

The day was celebrated in the embassies of United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Australia, Iran, China and South Korea.

Posters resurface in IIOJK with greeting messages on Pakistan Day

Posters have once again surfaced in Srinagar and other areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with solidarity and greeting messages for the people and Government of Pakistan on Pakistan Day being celebrated today.

The posters and Pakistan flags appeared in Srinagar, Bandipore, Doda and other areas of IIOJK, said a press release.

The posters displayed by APHC and other Hurriyat organizations were inscribed with slogans like ‘Hum Pakistani Hain, Pakistan Hamara Hai’, ‘Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan’, ‘Jammu and Kashmir is part of Pakistan’ and ‘Go India Go Back’.
