ISLAMABAD (APP) - The splendid Chinese-language premiere of the Pakistani blockbuster movie ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in Beijing marked a historic milestone in cinematic cooperation between Pakistan and China.

The film is scheduled for nationwide release across Chinese cinemas from May 21.

According to a press release on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi opined that the film would introduce Chinese audiences to the vibrant culture and colourful world of Pakistani cinema.

The release of the film in China is made under the Film Co-Production Agreement signed in June 2024 between Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the China Film Administration.

The agreement aims to promote joint productions and strengthen collaboration between filmmakers from both countries, it was added.
