Shahid Kapoor teases fans with clip of his first OTT project
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Shahid Kapoor, on Wednesday, dropped the first teaser of his upcoming web series “Farzi”.
In the brief clip, Shahid can be seen busy painting while in the background, we can hear him saying, “Mere life ka naya phase...kya logon ko pasand ayega? (A new phase of my life. Will people like it?)” Looking at the camera he says, “But artist toh artist hota haina... nahi? (But an artist is an artist, right?)” After winking at the camera, he walks away, leaving the canvas that reads, “Farzi”.
Shahid and Amazon Prime Video shared a post and captioned it as “Naya Saal Naya Maal (New Year New Project).” Soon after Shahid shared the post, directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K of the show commented, “Woohooo!! Shahid!!” His co-star Raashii Khanna commented, “Finally,” followed by a heart emoticon.
Helmed by director duo, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, the web series “Farzi” also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, Kubbra Sait, Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain and Bhuvan Arora. It marks the debut of Shahid on the OTT platform.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid was last seen in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s sports drama “Jersey”, co-starring Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. The movie failed to impress the audience at the box office. Apart from “Farzi,” he also has Ali Abbas Zafar’s film “Bloody Daddy”.
