Schwarzenegger fathered a child outside marriage

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that he fathered a child with a member of his household staff which later caused his separation from wife Maria Shriver. Schwarzenegger, 63, and his wife, Maria Shriver, last week announced they had separated earlier this year. They have been married 25 years and have four children. Schwarzenegger said that after leaving the governor office he told his wife Maria about the incident that occurred a decade ago. He said there were no excuses and apologized his friends and family for hurting them. Woman involved with Schwarzenegger has not been named but she had retired in January after 20 years of working with the family.Shriver campaigned for her Republican husband when he sought to recall and replace then-Governor Gray Davis, a Democrat, in 2003.
