Durj releases globally on the 11th of October 2019

(Web Desk) – Shamoon Abbasi’s psyco-thriller ‘Durj’ (The Casket), based on the true events of cannibalism that took place in Pakistan is en-route for a screening at Cannes Film Festival.

One gets goose bumps, just by watching the trailer of the off-beat venture. The cinematography and the onscreen portrayal of a cannibalist certainly gives u the jeebies.

Shamoon Abbasi shared on Instagram the exciting news of his movies screening at Cannes Film Festival.
‘#DURJ and its esteemed Director" Mr Shamoon Abbasi" en-route to 72nd Cannes Film Festival" Proud moment for #teamdurj"

According to media reports, Shamoon has decided to release the movie worldwide in October this year; he isn’t a proponent of the release in Pakistan because of the attitude of the local distributors wanting only certain kind of masala movies, which limits creativity.

‘With pride, #Durj - Releases Globally on the "11th of October 2019". Experience #Durj on the big screen in cinemas across multiple regions of the US, UK, Canada, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar. We thank everyone for all the love and look forward to seeing you there.,’ he added.
