(Web Desk) - Maharshtra Sena Chief Jeevan Singh Solanki threatened to physically assault Javed Akhter, if he fails to apologize for his ghoongat remarks.
Bollywood veteran lyricist demanded a ban on ‘ghoonghat’ after Shiv Sena asked the government for ‘Burka ban’ similar to Sri Lanka.

Javed Akhtar’s comments, irked the Maharshtra Sena Chief Jeevan Singh Solanki for speaking against the culture of Rajasthan, who in a video on social media threatened to physically assault Akhtar, if he doesn’t apologize for the ‘ghoonghat’ comments.
Javed Akhtar also issued a clarification of his statement.
‘Some people are trying to distort my statement . I have said that may be in Sri Lanka it is done for security reasons but actually it is required for women empowerment . covering the face should be stopped whether naqab or ghoonghat,’ he added.
