Plea regarding the exhibition of the movie sent to the censor board

(Web Desk) – Ever since the release of the trailer of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ controversy has marred the cinematic spectacle.

Black clouds loom over the movies fate as the court battle for the copyright infringement case proceeds.

According to local media reports, Lahore High Court (LHC) sent the plea regarding the exhibition of the movie to the censor board, which will decide whether the use of the original movie’s name, dialogues and characters is plausible or not.

During the hearing, Bilal Lashari’s lawyers pleaded that law exists, that allows the use of the original movie’s name, dialogues and characters.

Sarwar Bhatti’s lawyer insisted a ban on the release on grounds of copyright infringement.

Concluding the hearing, the court sent the petition to the censor board to decide if the original movie’s name, its dialogues and character names can be used in its sequel.
