Veteran Bollywood actor Kader Khan passes away after prolonged illness
The actor was admitted to a hospital in Canada after his health deteriorated.
MUMBAI (Dunya News) – Veteran Indian actor Kader Khan on Tuesday has died after a prolonged illness at the age of 81.
According to Indian media, the actor was admitted to a hospital in Canada after his health deteriorated.

"My dad has left us. He passed away on December 31 at 6 pm as per Canadian time due to prolonged illness. He slipped into coma in the afternoon. He was in the hospital for 16-17 weeks, Kader’s son Sarfraz confirmed.

The last rites of my father will be performed in Canada on Friday. We have our entire family here and we live here so we are doing it," he continued.

"We are thankful to everyone for their blessings and prayers," he added.
Born in Kabul, the legendary artist made his acting debut in 1973 Rajesh Khanna’s movie Daag. He has performed in more than 300 films.

He wrote dialogues for over 250 movies including Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bachchan s "Jawani Diwani".

Kader’s famous films were Dharam Veer, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Coolie, Desh Premee, Suhaag, Parvarish, Amar Akbar Anthony, Jwalamukhi, Sharaab, Lawaaris and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.
