Renowned film, TV actor Ali Ejaz laid to rest

Ali Ejaz died in Lahore on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest at the age of 77.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Renowned film, TV and stage actor Ali Ejaz was laid to rest in Lahore on Tuesday evening, Dunya News reported. His funeral prayer was offered in New Muslim Town area of the city.

A large number of people from all walks of life attended his funeral prayer. Ali Ejaz died in Lahore on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest at the age of 77. 

Ali Ejaz started made his film debut in 1967 from movie ‘Insaniyat’ followed by ‘Dilbar Jani’ (1969), ‘Yamla Jatt’ (1969), ‘Sayyan’ (1970), and Geo Jatta (1971). He acted in 106 movies, 84 of which were Punjabi, 22 Urdu, and one Pashtu.

He also acted in Pakistan Television (PTV) dramas including ‘Khawaja and Son’, ‘Khoji’ and ‘Dubai Chalo’. Ali Ejaz was honoured with the prestigious Presidential Pride of Performance on August 14, 1993.
