Singer Fakhr-e-Alam detained at Russian airport, FO takes notice
Sindh Governor directs foreign office to provide the singer assistance
MOSCOW (Dunya News) – Foreign Office while taking notice of the arrest of actor, singer and TV show host Fakhr-e-Alam who was “Mission Parwaaz” where he was going around the world in 28 days after his visa expired, contacted the authorities in Russia.
In his tweet, foreign office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said that Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia has spoken to Fakher-e-Alam and he was also in touch with local authorities, adding that the problem will hopefully be resolved soon.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had also directed the foreign office to contact to the singer and provide him with assistance.
He said that Pakistan’s Embassy in Russia was taking every possible step, and hoped that Alam’s mission would continue.
Earlier, the tweet shared from Faysal Qureshi’s account said, “Please tweet on my behalf,” the message read. “I am detained at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport because my visa expired by 2 hours and date changed.”
He said: “They (Russian authorities) are forcing me to turn back to Japan. I cannot go to Japan because I had single entry visa. I appeal to the Pakistan government to request Russian government to allow me to continue my journey to Alaska.”

The tweet added, “I don’t want to give up Mission Parwaaz. I need Pakistan’s support to carry on our flag to finish this. I have been in a room without food or water. No Wi-Fi. They didn’t give me my phone for 6 hours.”

The singer is set to make history by soaring through the skies as he embarks on a world trip calling it Mission Parwaaz.
The 42-year-old had articulated his passion for flying three years ago after which he took things to the next level by embarking on a journey across the globe becoming the first Pakistani to ever board on an venture such as this.
