This year the six-day children film festival showcases selected 72 films from 29 countries.
(WebDesk) – A six day international children film festival 2018 kicks off in Lahore. The festival will continue to entertain little champs from 01 October to 06 October.
This year film festival showcases selected 72 films from 29 countries, including several films made by young Pakistani film makers. These films have been selected from a total of 2,765 entries from 67 countries. This was unexpectedly a huge response to submission call the Little Art made for international film entries for its 10th addition.

The glittering ceremony was graciously attended by the senior showbiz veterans such as Asghar Nadeem Syed, Usman Pirzada and Adeel Hashmi and hundreds of students from different schools of Lahore.
The inaugration ceremony was attended by the film industry veterans along with a large number of kids for 10th internatinal Children Film Festival 2018.
Every year the Lahore children film festival - Pakistan’s largest annual children’s film festival, host the flagship event in Lahore and screens quality films to thousands of kids every year across Pakistan and presenting the best of local and international films for children in genre such as shorts, animations, documentaries and child-made films. These diverse range of films, that included all genres like animation, fiction, short and feature films, documentaries revolved around issues related to education, creativity, relationships, values, dreams, our environment.
The Festival is inclusive, with a mission to benefit all children and young people; it brings children together to celebrate film and learning from private schools, to public and foundation schools.

Lahore International Children’s Film Festival is a project of The Little Art which is a non-profit arts education Organization that uses the medium of art to promote social values among children and young adults in Pakistan and empowering them on various social issues.
The festival has been bringing some of the world’s best films, made for, by and about children and youth to Pakistan since 2007 and has been pivotal to entertain, inspire and educate thousands of children in several cities across Pakistan.
The six day long film festival usually is divided into 3 Different shows according to the age group of the Kids selected as per the age and maturity of the little viewer.

The organizers of Children film festival so far have presented the many successful editions of Lahore International Children’s Film Festivals and Karachi International Children’s Film Festival in Karachi since 2008.
According to the little art, nearly 451, 550 children and young people have attended the Lahore International Children’s film festival last year. The festival has been organized in various cities like Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faislabad, Multan, Peshawar, Gilgit Baltistan, Jamshoro and Tando Jam in interior Sindh and Bhakkar in rural Punjab.
The festival in Lahore was organized in collaboration with the Cinepax Cinemas who were also The Little Art’s collaborating partners in Karachi along with Teachers Resource Center and nurtured 11,500 children and young adults including teacher and parents whereas, the work for other chapters of International Children’s Film Festival is still under way.
