Sridevi's remains handed over to family
Bollywood legend Sridevi's remains are to reach India later today.
(Web Desk) – Sridevi’s remains were released by Dubai police on Tuesday and handed over to the family after the authorities asserted that the case was closed following forensic tests, Indian media reported.
The body is likely to reach India later today after emblaming following its release by officials.
The remains were to be shifted to India on Monday but procedural delay in issuance of toxicology report and other necessary tests according to Dubai laws pushed the release to Tuesday.
The body was released a day after Dubai police issued a forensic report which asserted that Sridevi’s death was caused by accidental drowning in a bathtub whilst intoxicated and not through cardiac arrest.
A funeral is arranged in Mumbai of Indian Maharashtra on Wednesday while Arjun Kapoor, Sridevi’s stepson has joined late Bollywood star’s husband Boney Kapoor in Dubai to perform the legalities concerning the situation.
Earlier in the day today, the remains were shifted to Muhaisnah of Dubai for embalming.
