She won the Miss Wales beauty Pageant in 1997 and had been playing charater roles in different telly shows since.
Her husband, 49-year-old Rick said that the family was devastated at the departing of such a lovely soul.
Former Miss Wales, late Hughes had married Rick in 2011 and is survived by her three-year-old son besides Rick.
