Asha Bhosle's Madame Tussauds statue will be put next to whom?
Bhosle expressed desire that her statue be put in between these two icons
(Web Desk) – Legendary vocalist 84-year-old Asha Bhosle unveiled her wax statue in Delhi chapter of Madame Tussauds on Tuesday (October 3rd) and wished to it to be placed between those of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.
Coming from Bhosle, you’d expect her statue to be placed somewhere around Indian dignitaries but that is not the case.
Bhosle expressed desire that her statue be put in between those of the two Western music icons.
It is only progressive that revered icons of one culture acknowledge those of others passing on an invaluable lesson to future generations of music and arts that there are no boundaries whatsoever.
While interacting with the media in New Delhi, the singer said that she had visited London in the 70s and by that time there was only one Indian personality immortalised at the place; Indira Gandhi.
