Three Emmy nominations for two Pakistani documentaries this season
Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and Muhammad Ali Naqvi's projects are nominated
(Web Desk) – Two Pakistani documentaries have bagged Emmy nominations this season and we can’t be more proud.
A Girl in River: The Price of Forgiveness by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy is nominated for Outstanding Sound and Music, Best Documentary and Outstanding Short Documentary.
The other Pakistani documentary nominated for the prestigious Emmy, won by some of the biggest names in global cinema, is helmed by Muhammad Ali Naqvi and I titled ‘Among The Believers’.
Naqvi’s project is nominated for Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary category.
Chinoy, a Pakistani filmmaker is a two-time Oscar winner for her documentaries Saving Face and Children of Taliban.
