Humera Channa thanks government for 'Pride of Performance' award

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Renowned singer Humera Channa thanked the government for appreciating her contribution to music.
She was awarded ‘Pride of Performance’ award by Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Pakistan Day.
She said that the awards are an encouragement for the artists.
She asserted that the increasing number of films have given hopes of the beginning of a new era of playback singing.
“Modern era and new style of music has given a new direction to singing. This has provided the music lovers a choice. However; the influence of eastern music remains in place and is liked in west too,” she said.
“Despite of being receiving accolades, I personally strive to produce good work. Melodious songs and beautiful music play an important role in the success of films,” Humera affirmed.
