Summary Badrinath is sequel to Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Dharma Productions has released theatrical trailer of ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, a Varun Dhawan and Ali Bhatt starrer that is slated for release in cinemas on March 10.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, a Dharma-asset who earlier gave the production house a prequel to Badrinath, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ in 2014 that was a success at the box office.
The film is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apporva Mehta.
According to the production house, it is a coming together of ‘raw & refined’. Badrinath Bansal played by Junaid of ‘Dishoom’, Varun Dhawan is the ‘raw’ while ‘Dear Zindagi’ actress, Ali Bhatt plays the ‘refined’ Vaidehi Trivedi.
The film is being branded as first Indian love franchise after all, Johar has stated in a number of media interactions that he wants to remain true to the core of Indian social fabric and not succumb to growing Hollywood imprints across the world.
It should be noted here that Badrinath comes as a collaboration of Dharma Productions with Fox Star Studios for wider release.
