LAHORE (Dunya News) – Veteran actress Sabiha Khanum will attend the star-studded Pakistan Film Festival in New York.
The actress will grace the red carpet of the event on December 2 while the film fest will be held on December 3 and 4.
Sabiha Khanum will be accompanied by her granddaughter, Sarish Khan, who is the current title holder of Miss Pakistan USA.
“My grandmother is absent from the showbiz scenario for quite a long time but she feels pride that I am fulfilling my passion as an artist, therefore, she is supporting me and Pakistani film industry,” said Sarish.
Sabiha Khanum was the leading star of Pakistani cinema in the 1950s and 1960s.
Remembered as the first lady of the Pakistani silver screen, she won the Pride of Performance award from the Government of Pakistan in 1986.
