Four arrested in connection with actress Kismat Baig's murder
A special team of CIA has recorded statement of Baig's mother after which investigation was launched
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Investigation officers on Saturday have arrested as many as four people in connection with stage actress Kismat Baig’s murder.
A special team has recorded statement of Baig’s mother and launched investigation from her secretary Ali Butt, former husband Rana Muzammil, co-star Mahnoor and one friend.
Kismat Baig’s mother said that Ali Butt was her daughter’s longtime friend while a contradiction was also observed in Butt’s statements.
Earlier, funeral prayers of stage actress Kismat Baig were offered in Lahore after which she was laid to rest in Harbanspura.
According to sources, a large number of showbiz celebrities participated in the funeral prayers who also demanded early detention of the culprits.
Kismat Baig was shot 12 times by unidentified gunmen in Lahore on Thursday morning after which she was immediately shifted to Services Hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
The actress was travelling with her driver and assistant who also sustained severe wounds.
