MUMBAI (Web Desk) – ‘Tamasha’ duo Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have seemingly returned a part of their remuneration to the producers of the movie, UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala, reported Indian media.
Reports suggests that Ranbir has returned 100 million INR and Deepika has added back 50 million INR to the producer’s pocket.
While the film collected a decent 380 million INR in the first weekend, it’s collection began to drop in the weekdays. The drop on it’s first Monday was over 50 per cent and the film’s performance only descended with each passing day. In its second weekend, the film raked in 6.50 crore INR nett, which was 83 per cent lesser than what it had collected in its first weekend. The collection now stands at 106.18 crore INR worldwide
Tamasha was sold to the distributors at a very high price due to the golden pairing of ex-lovers, Deepika and Ranbir.
Despite of acquiring critical acclaim, the film was an average grosser at the box office as it failed to gather huge profit.
