(Web Desk) – Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is all set to work in acclaimed Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor’s next film, reported Mid-day.
Kareena will fly to Dubai next week to meet Mansoor for a formal script narration and sign on the dotted line.
A source close to Kareena says, “A few months ago, Mansoor had e-mailed his concept to Kareena, saying that she will have a powerful role in the film. She liked the idea but wanted to read the script before giving her nod to the film. She will be the first A-list actress to work in a Pakistani project.”
A couple of months ago, the actress had stated that she wanted to work for Pakistani director Mansoor. Hearing this, the director came down to India to offer a film to her.
“Although Kareena has verbally accepted the offer, she wants to hear the script. Post that, she will sign the deal. For a while now, she has been keeping an eye out for projects that will allow her to push the envelope and believes that Mansoor’s story is one of them,” adds the source.
Interestingly, the actress who has a low-profile on social media plans to join Twitter for a day to announce the film by the month-end. “She also plans to connect with her fans online. But, she will be off social networking after that,” the source reveals.
It is also believed that Kareena and Mansoor s collaboration is going to be a women-centric film with Krishika Lulla as the producer.
Kareena is currently shooting for her film Ki and Ka in, which she stars with Arjun Kapoor. She plays a dominating and an independent wife. She has also wrapped up the shoot for her film Udta Punjab in, which Kareena joins Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
