WASHINGTON: (Dunya News) – United States of America (USA) has on Friday announced lifting of financial sanctions on Cuba after 53 years and US companies will be able to invest in Cuba now, reported Dunya News.

In a statement issued from the office of US Finance Minister Jacob Lew, the activities of US companies in Cuba will benefit the people of both the countries.

The recent announcement by the US is part of its policy according to which the cold-war-era enemies US and Cuba have established diplomatic relations with each other after 50 years and are now trying to gradually bring the relations to normality.
