LAHORE (Dunya News) – A local court in Lahore issued non-bailable arrest warrant of Meera on Friday for her illegal offence and ordered to present her before the court on July 17, Dunya News reported.
Judicial magistrate of Cantt court heard the petition filed by her ‘self-proclaimed’ husband Attiqur Rehman in which he had claimed that Meera had tied knot with another man named Naveed despite being already in marriage with him which is illegal and against the essence of Islam
Furthermore, Atiqur Rehman also claimed that Meera had confiscated a house in Defence worth million rupees therefore; action should be taken against her under the law.
The counsel’s lawyer stated before the court that earlier several notices have been issued to Meera to appear before the court, but she did not bother to attend the proceedings, nor had she hired any lawyer to pursue the case.
The judge after hearing prosecution’s stance issued arrest warrant of Meera and ordered Defence-A police to produce her before the court on July 17.
