Summary Cinema industry is not so prosperous and such a tax will damage their business: Cinema houses lawyer

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High court Division Bench ruled out Punjab Government’s Intra-court appeal to apply entrainment tax on cinema houses on Tuesday in Lahore.

Government of Punjab’s lawyer presented the argument that government can earn good by applying entertainment tax on cinema houses but Single Bench had ruled it out previously so the court should order to apply this tax again. To which lawyers of 10 different cinema houses of Lahore gave the argument that the cinema industry is already not so prosperous and such a tax will damage their business so for the sake of entertainment industry’s benefit and support court should deny the request of Punjab Government.
