Summary Homeland is an acclaimed American TV series with a fan following in Pakistan
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s ‘revolution’ poll sign was spotted on the third episode of the fourth season of hit American TV series Homeland.
Homeland’s fourth season is set in Pakistan with most of the scenes recorded in South Africa. However, the clip – that is likely a stock footage – shown at the beginning of the episode was indeed of an intersection between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. And that’s how Qadri’s poll sign slipped in.

Homeland is an acclaimed American TV series with a fan following in Pakistan – despite the fact that a large number of Pakistani viewers have to watch it over the internet.
The fourth season of the series premiered on October 5th and the whole season is set in Pakistan. The recording, however, did not take place in Pakistan. In fact most of the recording was done in South Africa, America among other locations.
There are, however, several unconnected dots that one would argue are not the accurate depiction of Islamabad. One major mistake was showing regular flow of public traffic outside the United States embassy in Islamabad as the embassy in Islamabad is housed in well guarded ‘Diplomatic Enclave’ where the regular traffic and even the taxis are not allowed. One can only get to the embassy through the designated shuttle service or registered vehicles.
