Bollywood actor Aamir Khan after his film '3 Idiots' was recently released in India's western Gujarat said that his love remains the same for the audience of the state but does not know the state Chief Narendra Modi.The 44-year-old actor had earlier earned the wrath of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi after Aamir openly aligned himself with the Narmada Bachao Andolan (Save Narmada campaign) and strongly criticised Modi for failing to control the 2006 violence in Vadodara. After this his movies Taare Zameen Par (Stars on the ground) and Fanaa (sacrifice) were banned in the state.Chief Minister Modi had even criticised Aamir for his support to NBA saying that abandoning the Sarovar dam project would deprive the people of the state of water. Aamir along with the other two actors of the film and the music director landed up in Gandhinagar city to promote the film in the state.When asked about his relationship with the Chief Minister of the state, Narendra Modi, Aamir replied, I do not know him and have never met him.I never say what to do and what not to do to anybody. In fact the message of our film is do what your heart feels.And I think my love for my audience in Gujarat is still the same. Meanwhile, the actor also said that he applies the message of the film that one should not run after success but focus on ability in real life as well.I believe in this film's message and I have applied the same in the 20-25 years of my career. The message is don't run after success. If you will run after it, then you might take all wrong steps. One should try to be able, added Khan. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, '3 Idiots' is reportedly based on the novel 'Five Point Someone' by Chetan Bhagat, and takes a wry look at India's education system as it tracks the misfortunes of a trio of friends in engineering college.Sharman Joshi, Aamir Khan and R. Madhavan who are starring together in this film, were also co-stars in the critically acclaimed 'Rang De Basanti', which won several awards. The film, which was released on December 25, has brought Khan and producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra together for the first time.The film collected more than $21.3 million in its first four days after playing on a record 1,760 screens. The gross takes it past the opening record set by Ghajini in the same release slot last year.
