Kaif, Ranbir beach pictures: Deepika says stars need to be careful
Deepika Padukone says stars like herself and Katrina Kaif should expect interest from the media.
MUMBAI (Web Desk) - The Ek Tha Tiger wrote an open letter to the press after she was covertly snapped in a bikini on holiday.
In her letter, Kaif wrote: "I request that all media running these pictures please refrain from doing so. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behaviour."
Padukone told Mid Day: "It has never happened with me. I believe if you are a celebrity or public figure - these things are bound to happen. And I don t think you can accuse anybody of anything. If I am a public figure and if someone has captured me then I feel I should have been a little careful."
Padukone has previously dated Kaif s current boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, who was also pictured at the beach with the star.
It was reported in April that Padukone s Chennai Express co-star Shah Rukh Khan arranged a separate flight for her to the Indian Premier League so she would not have to share a plane with Kaif.
