Bollywood actor Aamir Khan sprung a surprise at an unknown village near Faridkot in India's northern state of Punjab when he made his presence felt dressed as a foreigner.Disguised as a foreigner, he attended a pre-wedding ceremony and also took part in the Haldi ceremony (a Hindu ritual of applying turmeric and vermillion on the bride).Further, he joined the chorus of ladies in singing the traditional wedding Sangeet (songs) and danced with the members of the family.However, no sooner than Aamir Khan revealed his true identity, almost all present on the occasion became hysterical out of sheer excitement. Later, he joined the other guests and partook his share in the dinner prior to bidding adieu to the surprised hosts. Of course, beaming a smile, he obliged the autograph hunters. Kamaldeep, one of the villagers present at the Haldi ceremony said that she could not believe her eyes when she saw Aamir between them. When he (Aamir Khan) removed his teeth and removed the make-up, we were shocked. It was impossible to believe that he was visiting our village, recalled Kamaldeep. Of late, Aamir Khan has been making waves by promoting his forthcoming film '3 Idiots' in innovative ways.This film which is slated to hit the screen, nationwide on Christmas Day also stars Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi and it is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
