MUMBAI (Web Desk)- British Bollywood star Jiah Khan has claimed she was a victim of rape and abuse and aborted a baby in a harrowing suicide letter released by her mother.
The six-page handwritten letter, allegedly written by the actress, details just how desperate she had become when she chose to take her own life.
Jiah, who was found hanged in her Mumbai apartment by her mother, Rabiya, writes about feeling "broken" and "dead inside".
She wrote: "I don t know how to say this to you but I might as well now as I have nothing to lose. I ve already lost everything. If you re reading this I might have already left or about to leave. I am broken inside.
"I leave this place with nothing but broken dreams and empty promises. All I want now is to go to sleep and never wake up again. I am nothing. I had everything."
Jiah s mum, Rabiya, has reportedly released the letter to the press after there was speculation that her daughter took her life because of depression related to her career.
She made it public "so that everyone may know the truth behind my daughter s tragedy".
The letter was found by Jiah s younger sister in a wallet box belonging to Jiah when she was looking for some poems written by Jiah to be read out at her prayer meeting.
It s understood that the letter has been handed to police investigating Jiah s death along with handwriting samples
While the truth behind Jiah s suicide remained a mystery, Jiah s mother took it upon herself and made a public statement recently. Jiah Khan s mother, who was quite upset with the media speculations around Jiah s suicide being linked to her slow career, released a handwritten letter by Jiah, claiming that it was not her career but her abusive boyfriend Sooraj Panscholi and his father Aditya Panscholi who were the reason behind her death.
Jiah s mother found the letter written by her daughter to Sooraj Panscholi while searching for poems written by the actress, to read out at the prayer meet.

To all concerned,
Some sections of the media and some film industry people are speculating that my daughter Jiah committed suicide because of depression related to her career. However, the truth is that it happened only because of the trauma and the abuse she suffered at the hands of Sooraj Panscholi and his father Aditya Panscholi.
This I know from what Jiah shared with her sisters and me and also from this letter written by Jiah herself that I am attaching here with which was found three days later by my younger daughter in a wallet box belonging to Jiah when she was searching for some poems written by Jiah to be read out at her prayer meeting.
I have decided to make this letter public so that everyone may know the truth behind my daughter s tragedy.
