NEW DELHI: The multi-starrer flick ‘Race 2’ starring Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Jaqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel, has managed to create ripples at the Box Office.
The action packed thriller has entered the Rs 100 crore club despite garnering mixed reviews from critics.
Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to confirm the news and wrote “And #Race2 hits a ton. Crosses Rs 100 cr mark in India (sic).”
Directed by Abbas Mustan, the film had Deepika Padukone romancing Saif Ali Khan, who have earlier set the silver screen ablaze with their sizzling chemistry in ‘Cocktail’, ‘ Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Aarakshan’. The first installment of the movie had Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif playing negative roles while Bipasha Basu played Saif’s love interest.
The first major release of 2013 followed in the footsteps of movies like ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Son of Sardar’ and ‘Dabangg 2’, that released last year.
