Anupam to be conferred with 'Kalidas Samman'

Summary Noted actor Anupam Kher will be conferred with 'Kalidas Samman' during a graceful ceremony on 24th.


The week-long event All-India Kalidas Samaroh will commence from November 23.The decision was announced by the Madhya Pradesh culture minister Laxmikant Sharma after a meeting of All-India Kalidas Samaroh advisory committee in Bhopal on Saturday.

 

The event will get underway on November 23 with Nandi Samaroh. Inauguration function will be held on November 24 when Kalidas Samman will be conferred on Kher, where he would also give a solo performance on the occasion. Sanskrit play Malti Madhavam directed by Balendra Singh of Bhopal will also be staged on the same day.

 

Shubha Mudgal will give a vocal performance on November 29.


Su Saroja Vaidyanathan will give a performance based on classical music while play Sinhasan Battisi will be staged by Rang Ballet Group of Bhopal on the following day.

 

On November 26, Kshipra Sanskrit Sansthan, Ujjain will stage Hindi play Abhigyan Shakantulam based on traditional Sanskrit literature. Su Mandakini Trivedi will present Mohini Attam focusing on Kumar Sambhav on November 27. Marg Natya focusing on art of drama will be held on November 28.

 

Shubha Mudgal will give a vocal performance on November 29 while Pratibha Raghuvanshi of Ujjain will give a Kathak performance and Bharat Gangadhar Tailang of Mumbai will give a performance of classical singing on November 30.

 

Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas lecture series will also be held during this period.
