A Guinness world record was set when over 12,500 ethnic Dai dancers includingprofessional artists, students and farmersperformed Gesture Dance together to celebrate the Dai New Year Festival in southwest Chinas Yunnan Province.The new Guinness world record for the largest Dai Gesture Dance was set at the landmark Water Splashing Square.A representative of The World Record Association approved the new record on the site.The spectacular performance attracted a large crowd of visitors from across the world.
