Summary KPK Governor Masood Kausar said educated youth is precious asset of country.
“Keep your minds open to new ideas and innovations in order to achieve professional competency,” the Governor said while addressing the 2nd convocation of Malakand University at Chakdara in Dir lower.The Governor said, “This esteemed institution has equipped you with the basic skills of professions. You are the future leaders of your respective fields.”The Governor urged the students to channelise their talent and energies into positive and healthy activities with commitment to serving the country and nation with utmost sincerity and devotion.In all 120 graduates were awarded degrees in different graduate and post-graduate programs including MPhil and MBA, besides Bachelor degrees in different disciplines.The Governor said that it was the age of knowledge-driven rapid changes, and growth and development in every walk of life was oriented from the capacity and capability of the manpower.Earlier, in his welcome address the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Dr Rasool Jan highlighted the academic and other achievements of the University saying that despite unfavorable circumstances the University was kept open and even BA/BSc examinations were held peacefully without compromising quality when the situation in the area was not conducive.The faculty, he added, comprised 35 PhDs and 27 scholars had been sent abroad for higher studies.He said that the students had been provided with a loadshedding-free environment besides developing the best digital lab in the KPK. The Governor also awarded 20 gold medals to the position holders of the University, including 3 girl students.
