(Dunya News) – A government school in Karachi’s locality of Baldia Town Abidabad is on the brink of demolition. The sight of school can barely attract anyone, let alone children.
While the provincial government has imposed an education emergency in Sindh, its schools seem as neglected as they were before the sudden attention towards the sector.
With a staggering dropout rate and poor schools infrastructure, the situation seems far from improving.

From classrooms, damaged walls, weak ceilings, broken furniture to the smell of burning garbage outside the school in Abidabad, these children are faced with health risks and the uncertainty of the weak foundations of the school.
Speaking to Dunya News, the young students of the school pleaded CM Sindh to help clean and restore their school.
According to a local government representative, the school needs attention and proper funding for renovation.
