The Dolphin Squad has arrested a key suspect accused of carrying out nearly 100 street crime incidents in Lahore after an intelligence-based operation in Samanabad.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Lahore Police's Dolphin Squad has arrested the ringleader of a gang involved in a string of street crimes across the city, bringing a long crime spree to a halt.
According to a Dolphin Squad spokesperson, the arrested suspect, identified as Faisal, was involved in around 100 criminal incidents in a specific area of Lahore. His arrest is being seen as a major breakthrough for the police.
The Dolphin Squad carried out an intelligence-based operation and arrested the suspect from Samanabad. During the arrest, the accused put up stiff resistance, but the police team managed to overpower and detain him.
Police said several cases have been registered against the suspect for robbery, theft, snatching, and other serious offences. After completing initial formalities, the suspect was handed over to Gulshan Ravi Police Station for further legal action.
Officials said the arrest sends a clear message that crime does not pay and that those involved in criminal activities will be brought to book sooner or later.
