Police officer injured in shooting in KP's Mathra

PESHWAR (Dunya News) - A police sub-inspector was critically injured after unknown motorcyclists opened fire in Mathra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, police said.
SI Gull Jalal was walking to the mosque to offer his Fajr prayer when the suspects approached him and opened fire.
The suspects fled the scene, while the injured was later taken to a nearby hospital.
Police forensic team picked five empty shells of a pistol. The motive for the shooting and the identity of the assailants is not yet clear.
