Swabi: Woman held captive for a year rescued, three arrested
SWABI (Dunya News) - Police rescued a woman imprisoned in chains in a room in Dara village of Swabi for the last one year and arrested three accused.
DPO Swabi Mohammad Shoaib in a press conference said that the woman was chained and locked in a room by her real brothers for a year. The woman is divorced. The brothers imprisoned the sister to stop her from working and fighting a case against her husband.
According to the police, a family court has been approached regarding the expenses of the children from her husband.
Three accused have been arrested while one other will be arrested soon, said police.
