Man arrested for chaining, torturing wife in Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) - A man was arrested for chaining and torturing wife in Karachi’s Landhi 36-B area.
According to SP Landhi Shahnawaz Chachar, a 30-year-old woman was recovered during a raid who was subjected to the worst kind of torture. A woman named Ishrat was tortured by her husband Imran for a month. Accused Imran used to make baseless allegations against the woman.
Shahnawaz Chachar further said that accused Imran and Ishrat were married for 8 years. After chaining his wife the accused handed over his two daughters to relatives.
An initial statement of the woman revealed that her head had also been shaved after torture. Landhi police arrested the victim s husband and further interrogation of the accused is underway.
