Footage exposes fake police encounter of Lahore police
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A police encounter in Kahna an area of Lahore has turned out to be fake as the police shot dead the arrested dacoits, showed a video obtained by Dunya News.
Footage showed that the robbers were chased by the police and caught alive. DIG Operations Lahore took notice and handed over the inquiry to SSP Operations.
Earlier, an FIR was also registered after the police encounter in which police said that four dacoits riding on two motorcycles were looting the people in the area when the patrolling team reached there. On seeing the police team, the dacoits opened fire on which the police also fired on them. As a result, two dacoits were killed on the spot while the other two managed to escape from the scene.
But now the video made with a mobile phone showed that the police party captured the dacoits alive, and then they tortured them and later shot them dead.
After the whole incident, DIG Operations Lahore Sajid Kayani directed to conduct an inquiry and suspended all the officials involved in the incident.
