Lecturer dies from stray kite string

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A lecturer of Dayal Singh College died shortly after string of a stray kite slit open his throat at Ichhra flyover in the provincial capital on Friday.

As per the details, the incident occurred when motorcyclist Aftab Ahmed, a lecturer at Govt Dayal Singh College was heading towards college on Ferozpur Road when the string entangled around his neck leaving him in pool of blood after which he died on the spot.

On finding him in a pool of blood, some locals immediately shifted him to the emergency ward of the Lahore General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Police and rescue officials reached the spot and shifted the body to the morgue. The deceased lecturer was a resident of Kasur’s suburban village Kanganpur.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took strong notice of the horrific death and ordered the IG Punjab Inam Ghani to send back a report of the incident.
