Karachi Police said Abbas provided cars to suspects for criminal activities.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Laila Parveen has said that her driver – Abbas – was taken from home and killed along four others in backstreet.

Karachi Police, however, have said that Abbas provided cars to the suspects for criminal activities. Karachi Police have contacted Punjab Police and asked for data of the accused.

The affected persons, looted by the suspects, have also been summoned by the police. The investigation officers said two families identified dead bodies of two accused yesterday.

It is pertinent here to mention that Abbas was shot dead along with four others in an alleged police encounter in Karachi on Friday (yesterday). Later it was found out that he was driver of PTI local leader Laila Parveen.

Laila Parveen, deputy secretary of women’s wing, said her driver Abbas had been working with her for five years and the house also belongs to her where an incident of robbery was reported.

The PTI leader further claimed that the car which was shown under possession of the robbers is owned by her husband, making the whole matter suspicious.
