Police arrest suspect for rape, murder of a minor girl in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The police have arrested the accused involved in the kidnapping and subsequent rape and murder case of a minor girl in Baghbanpura area of Lahore.
According to details, the body of a minor girl was found from an empty plot near the house. The killer turned out to be a neighbor who was arrested by the police.
Police said during the preliminary investigation, the accused also confessed to the murder. Special teams led by SP Cantt Investigation Dr Anosh Masood arrested the accused.
According to the preliminary investigation, the accused Nadeem is married and father of a 9-month-old son. The accused lured the girl to his house and killed her after raping her. Accused Nadeem locked the house after the incident and left. Last night at around 3 o clock, the accused threw the body of the girl in the plot.
SP Cantt Saad Aziz said that forensic teams collected blood samples of the girl and evidence from the house of the accused, more facts will come to light after postmortem and forensic report.
Superintendent of Police Cantt met the parents of the deceased and assured full cooperation. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the CCPO.
He said that justice would be provided to the affected family at all costs. Lahore CCPO Omar Sheikh has said that the accused will be brought to justice soon.
