Quetta police foil bid to smuggle Hashish worth Rs4 million

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Quetta police foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish worth Rs4 million to Karachi in a major operation.

According to details, ASP Sariab Qazi Ali while giving a press conference in his office said that Sariab Circle police raided a vehicle heading to Karachi on a tip-off and recovered worth Rs4 million hashish from its caches. Police have also arrested an accused Nematullah, an Afghan national.

The ASP said that two accomplices of the accused, Abdul Wasi and Ehsanullah, have managed to escape and will be arrested soon.

He said that the seized hashish was being smuggled from Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah district to Karachi which is worth millions of rupees in the international market.

He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the police to eradicate drugs.
