Couple killed for honour in Khanewal
KHANEWAL (Dunya News) - A newly married couple in Khanewal was allegedly shot dead in the name of honor.
The tragic incident took place in the City Police Station area. Shafiq, 35, was on his way home from Khanewal city on a motorbike with his newlywed wife.
According to police, three armed men opened fire near the 88/10 R-turn and fled.
The families of the victims have alleged that the double murder was committed in the name of honor.
The slain Fauzia had divorced her first husband and remarried to Shafiq. Police have gathered evidence and are investigating the whole matter.
