ANF seizes 1.95 tons narcotics worth Rs1 trillion
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out raids against drug smugglers across the country and seized 1.952 tons of narcotics worth more than one trillion rupees.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the ANF conducted 23 operations across the country, during which 1.952 tons of drugs were recovered and 32 accused, including four women involved in drug trafficking, were arrested.
According to the spokesman, 17 vehicles used in smuggling were also seized. The drugs recovered included 408.4 kg of hashish, 651 kg of morphine and 509.6 kg of opium.
According to ANF officials, the drugs seized included 380.83kg of heroin and 2kg of amphetamines, with an international value of US $739.73 million (over Rs 1 trillion).
